This food grade epsom salt, which is unrelated to table salt, is a crystallized mineral compound of magnesium and sulfur that can be found naturally in seawater and brine pools. Epsom salt has many uses and is often an ingredient in home remedies for soothing sore muscles, bug bites and minor bruising.
