Product description
TAIWAN CHILI OVERLOAD!
It’s usually described to have a fruity undertone, but can still bring the heat at 50,000 – 100,000 Scoville heat units (SHU).
Dried chili peppers tend to have a more intense, concentrated flavor than fresh chili peppers. Fresh chillies tend to be less hot than their dried counterparts because they contain a higher ratio of water to capsaicin - the main chemical that makes chili peppers hot.
With proper storage, these dried pods can remain viable to use for 1-2 years. You can stock them so you always have available chilis whatever the season and the market prices are. Grind them as seasoning, flavor every dish, or turn them into sauce.
The peppers we use are sourced from our own small farm in Nasugbu, Batangas. The dried chilis are 100% pure Taiwan Chili peppers: no additives, no artificial flavorings.
