Protective Film - 3 plies thin laminated film. Made from polyethylene terephthalate (PET), a thermoplastic polymer resin, has clarity, tensile strength, dimensional stability, and ability to accept a variety of surface-applied.
3D carbon fiber is printed on the thinner (3.0mil) and thus the 3D vinyl is the most flexible and stretchable which makes it easier to install on curved surfaces. The best feature of the 3D print is the ease of use, and how forgiving it is for 1st time DIY installers.
4D carbon fiber comes with a matte finish. However, 4D can be considered semi-gloss, as the matte finish on the 4D has a slight shine effect. It is slightly thicker than the 3D vinyl, the 4D (3.1mil) is still suitable for applying on rounded surfaces and is an all around great vinyl to work with.
Installation Procedure:
1. Clean your motorcycle's panel gauge 2. Make sure that there is no dust or dirt on your panel before you install the sticker film. 3. The sticker film has three layers. The front cover, the back cover, and the one in the middle is the panel protector itself. 4. The front cover is much softer than the back cover. Back cover protects the sticky side so make sure that you put the sticker guide on the back cover (the harder sheet) 5. Two ways to install.
A. Direct installation - slightly peel off the back cover from the corner and then attach directly to the gauge. make sure its perfectly placed before completely peeling off the full back cover of the film. after you place the film on the panel, get an atm card and cover it with fabric, then use it to rub the surface of the panel to prevent bubbles. B. Water process - remove the back cover (sticky side) entirely from the film, then spray water all over the sticky surface of the film, as well as on your motorcycle's panel gauge. Then carefully attach the film on the gauge. After it's perfectly placed, you can rub using atm covered with fabric or squeegee on the surface of the panel to remove the bubbles. After applying gauge film protector, proceed with the carbon installation. 1. Clean the motorcycle's panel. 2. Make sure that your panel is dry and has no dust or dirt before you install the carbon sticker. 3. Peel off the backing paper of the carbon sticker and carefully place the carbon sticker on the panel surface. 4. Use an atm card covered with cloth or squeegee to remove the unwanted bubbles. DONE.
