The formulation of this product contains high level of Glycerin in order to counterbalance the inherent drying effect of its surfactant base. Aside from Glycerin, the product is also formulated with vitamins and plant extracts that helps to keep the skin moisturized and glowing.
This product is a soap-based kind of facial wash. It is made by reacting specific amount of fatty acids blend into a neutralizing agent to form the soap or surfactant that provides the cleaning action of the product. The soap or surfactant is a wetting agent that reduce the contact angle between a solution put on a surface and the surface. This property allows surfactants to spread more easily on the surface and inject themselves between the oily deposit and the skin. This lifts up the oil and allows it to be removed.
Glycerin is a very effective moisturizer on skin. It absorbs water from air reducing dry and dull patches on your skin. Your skin gets soft, supple and hydrated immediately on application. It adds hydration and health to your skin. Glycerin acts as an emollient that keeps your skin not only moist, but soft and supple to touch. It makes your skin look healthier and attractive. Its therapeutic effects on wounds and other skin issues also lead your skin to look healthier and smoother.
Also known as vitamin B3 and nicotinamide, it is a water-soluble vitamin that works with the natural substances in your skin to help visibly improve enlarged pores, uneven skin tone, fine lines and wrinkles, dullness, and a weakened surface. Niacinamide also reduces the impact of environmental damage because of its ability to improve skin’s barrier (its first line of defense), plus it also plays a role in helping skin to repair signs of past damage. Other helpful benefits of niacinamide are that it helps renew and restore the surface of skin against moisture loss and dehydration by helping skin improve its natural production of skin-strengthening ceramides. When ceramides become depleted over time, skin is left vulnerable to all sorts of problems, from persistent patches of dry, flaky skin to increasingly becoming extra-sensitive.
It is a natural moisturizer that occurs in plants and animals as an osmolyte that protects cells from environmental stress and specifically against dehydration (control of cell-water balance). Also known as nature’s own moisturizer and protectant: by providing moisturization, protection, as well as a range of sensory benefits. When used in skin care products it provides moisturization by maintaining skin moisture balance, improves sensory by reducing stickiness and provides smoother, softer skin feel, and offers protection by strengthening skin barrier and mitigates irritation of surfactants.
An excellent cationic conditioner, used for its antistatic and film forming properties. It is used to improve the lathering properties of surfactant-based cleansers that leads to smaller foam size, increase foam stability, provides slip, leading to richer, creamier, more lubricious foam of the product.
This is a patented ampholytic terpolymer that is compatible with anionic and amphoteric surfactants. It is ideally suited for skin cleansing products, provides silky skin feel and moisturization, and reduces irritation from skin cleansing products.
•Carica (Papaya) Fruit Extract
This ingredient has the ability to remove dead cells from the skin surface. It may help brighten and even the skin tone. It can also provide protection to the skin and offer anti-inflammatory benefits after exfoliation.
It is the provitamin of B5 and is used in cosmetics and beauty products primarily as a lubricant, emollient and moisturizer because of its ability to bind to the hair and penetrate the skin, providing both with lubrication and hydration. Panthenol is most commonly used for healing, protecting and moisturizing the skin. Panthenol has been shown to increase the proliferation of fibroblasts in the dermis, the middle layer of the skin where wrinkles form. Activation of fibroblasts is typically associated not just with an increase
in their number but also with increased synthesis of all components of skin matrix, such as collagen, elastin and glycans as well as overall skin remodeling.
Papain is a proteolytic enzyme extracted from the raw fruit of the papaya plant. Its enzymatic action is very specific and it does not harm healthy skin. It is very effective in skin renewal and skin lightening. It also functions as an exfoliator, skin softener and moisturizer and helps fight acne. What’s more, the enzyme helps the body combat free radicals, thus preventing premature ageing.
It is a monocyclic, unsarurated sesquitepene alcohol used as an anti-irritant in sensitive skin products. Bisabolol has been studied for its many skincare benefits: it may help to sooth irritated skin, acts a potent antioxidant, protecting the skin from free radical damage, and helping to improve visible signs of aging. It may also have anti-microbial properties and used to lighten the skin.
•Arctostaphylos uva-ursi (Bearberry) Leaf Extract
Bearberry extract is known as a natural source of arbutin and a Vitamin C derivative that is a very effective inhibitor of tyrosinase and has strong anti-oxidant properties.
•Magnesium Ascorbyl Phosphate
It is a water-soluble derivative of Vitamin C which is non-irritating and more stable than Vitamin C. It acts as a skin lightener and as an antioxidant. Its benefits are seen in boosting collagen synthesis with mild exfoliating effect that is gentle on sensitive skin. This form of Vitamin C is also known to increase skin’s hydration levels as well as being effective for calming factors in skin that can lead to excess oil and signs of sensitization.
