Product description
Choose the Right Location
*Sunlight: Sunflowers need full sunlight—at least 6-8 hours of direct sunlight per day. Pick a location that gets plenty of sunlight.
*Soil: They prefer well-drained, slightly acidic to neutral soil (pH 6.0-7.5). Loam soil is ideal, as it provides the right balance of drainage and nutrients.
*Space: Depending on the variety, sunflowers can grow quite tall, so choose a space with enough room for their height and spread.
Prepare Soil: Loosen soil and enrich with compost or organic matter.
*Plant 1-2 inches deep, 6-12 inches apart.
*Sow in spring after the last frost.
Water and Care: Water regularly and mulch to retain moisture. Fertilize once or twice.
Support Tall Varieties: Use stakes for taller sunflowers.
Pest Control: Watch for pests and protect seeds from birds if needed.
Harvest: For seeds, harvest when the flower heads droop and dry.
