Product description
LABUYO CHILI SEEDS/HOT CHILI PEPPERS 55 SEEDS
Prepare the Soil: Chili peppers prefer well-draining soil that is rich in organic matter. Amend your garden soil with compost or well-aged manure to improve fertility and structure. The soil pH should be between 6.0 and 7.0.
Choose a Sunny Location: Chili peppers need plenty of sunlight to thrive. Choose a planting location in your garden that receives at least 6-8 hours of direct sunlight per day.
Planting Seeds or Seedlings: If you started seeds indoors, transplant the seedlings into the garden once all danger of frost has passed and the soil has warmed to at least 60°F (16°C). Space plants 18-24 inches apart in rows that are 24-36 inches apart. If you're planting seeds directly in the garden, sow them 1/4 inch deep and thin seedlings to the appropriate spacing once they emerge.
Watering: Keep the soil consistently moist but not waterlogged, especially during the flowering and fruiting stages. Water the plants at the base to prevent fungal diseases. Avoid overhead watering, which can lead to foliar diseases.
Fertilizing: Chili peppers are moderate feeders and benefit from regular fertilization. Side-dress plants with compost or a balanced fertilizer when they start to flower and again when the fruits begin to develop.
Provide Support (Optional): Some chili pepper varieties may benefit from staking or support cages, especially if they produce large fruits that weigh down the branches. Use stakes or cages to support the plants and prevent them from bending or breaking.
Pest and Disease Management: Keep an eye out for common pests like aphids, flea beetles, and pepper maggots. Use insecticidal soap or neem oil to control pests if necessary. Monitor the plants for signs of diseases such as bacterial leaf spot or powdery mildew, and promptly remove and destroy affected plant parts.
Harvesting: Most chili peppers can be harvested when they reach their mature color and size. Harvesting peppers regularly encourages the plant to produce more fruit. Use clean scissors or shears to cut the peppers from the plant, leaving a short stem attached
