Super Sweet corn varieties are commonly used for the production of baby corn. This yellow open-pollinated variety has a national average yield of 6.61 tons/ha but can go as high as 8 tons/ha. It is resistant to lodging during wet season, its ears are longer than the check variety with excellent ear-fill characteristic and tight husk covering the cob. It is well-adapted to agro-climatic conditions prevailing in major corn-growing areas in Luzon.
