What does 8GB 1600 MHz DDR3 mean?
Question: Q: What does 8GB of Onboard 1600MHz LPDDR3 RAM mean? ... it the ram Random access Memory your computer has Onboard (Motherboard or the board inside your computer) . LPDDR3 is the type or grade of ram, which is really good. 8 GB of Ram is really good to have
So, DDR3 is more than enough for games in 2020?.
Yes, it is good enough, however most motherboards these days use DDR4 ram. But if you still have a decent enough intel cpu and 16 gb of ddr3 ram you should be fine.
However, the price for that level of performance comes at a cost, and most seasoned gamers will do just fine with the 1600MHz -1866MHz range offered by the rest.
Kingston Memory
Why 1600?
he next generation of DDR3 has arrived. New chipsets and processors from AMD and Intel now support memory operating at 1600MT/s (aka 1600MHz). DDR3-1600 memory has a module classification of PC3-12800, which effectively means the peak data rate of the module is 12.8GB/sec (see table). That’s about a 17% improvement on memory bandwidth over DDR3-1333.
In servers, the processor model number affects how fast the memory can operate. Higher model numbers support 1600MT/s, but may be limited by the number of DIMMs per Channel that are installed.
Some entry-level mobile and desktop processors, such as the Intel Core i3, may not support 1600MT/s memory.
