Why is it Blue because it's the color of tranquility and peace and of course in our study it's the most popular sports drink color. In fact Gatorade has 3 types of Blue drinks (cool blue, bolt & glacier). Not much difference on the ingredients of all 3. Their base ingredients are cane sugar and dextrose. There are premium Gatorade drinks in other countries that are better than what we have in the Philippines.
• Blue Hydra has two natural ingredients Calamansi and Moringa (Malunggay) extract which we produce from fresh to powder in our factory.
•Malunggay has three ingredients that I like for athletes: green calcium, potassium and magnesium.
• We fortified this with Vitamin A, C and Zinc because during highly stressful situations our immune systems drops and we want to make sure our athletes don't catch a cold.
•We don't use cane sugar, Cane sugar is composed of two sugars: fructose 50% and glucose 50%.
•Fructose you need insulin so it takes time to be processed by the body as energy. We use Dextrose (Is pure glucose, glucose does not require insulin from the body to convert to energy. Once ingested and passes through the small intestine it is immediately absorbed by the body to the bloodstream and can be converted to energy.)
•Our sweetener is splenda (sucralose). It's in powdered form, and can be mixed in large jugs and everyone just uses their personal water jugs to refill. Less plastic garbage, lower carbon footprint (this is an important issue in today's environment).
