no damage, seems good quality, hope it wont rust. the gold ones seem thicker and sturdier. you get a better grip with the lighter wood, but the gold ones scoop more food than the other. just be careful to not cut/separate thick and hard meats to prevent bending. im satisfied, hoping for more colors
