I, Solene Clemente was a typical Civil Engineering student who struggled to put up with my studies. Kung pwede ngang i-bake na lang ang napakaraming itlog sa test papers ko, ginawa ko na.
At a young age, I experienced the harsh reality of life–poverty, abuse, and a broken family.
But, as someone who could see the bright side of everything, I knew I could make
it with only my mother and best friend, Duke Laurence Sanders, whom I secretly loved.
Kahit pa naghihirap, basta kasama ko ang aking ina, kakayanin ko. Kahit pa madalas na hindi ko maintindihan ang
lessons, okay lang kasi may Duke naman na tuturuan ako. Na kahit gaano kalupit ang tadhana, patuloy akong lumalaban sa buhay dahil may dalawang taong sumusuporta at nagmamahal sa akin. I became too dependent on the love they could offer.
But little did I know, like the sun I adored, I was destined to be alone.
