Zenfiber's adlai is unique in a good and healthy way.

Adlai, in its freshest form, is naturally brownish in color due to its brown hull/shell. This outer shell contains nutrients and could even act as a relieving agent for dysmenorrhea.

However, most of adlai in the market are already polished/processed (hull is removed), to give it a "cleaner", more white appearance.

What makes Zenfiber's adlai unique is, it is not polished. Meaning, its nutrient-dense hull/shell is still intact, making it more nutritious than most that are sold in the market.

We only milled it for faster and more ease in cooking (grits).

NOTE:

Since this is unpolished and unprocessed, it is naturally dusty. Like regular rice, please rinse it thoroughly for 1-3 times or until water is clear before cooking.

A 100-g serving of cooked Adlai provides 356kcal, whereas white rice only provides 110kcal.

It leaves you full longer, and leaves out that sluggish, full feeling we often get after eating a lot of pasta or rice. Just like white rice, it can be paired with almost any meal!
