eaweed is used extensively in Korean cooking and is extremely healthy. It's full of vitamins and minerals and is low on calories and fat. Seaweed may help reduce your blood cholesterol levels ( 41 , 42). Seaweed also contains small amounts of vitamins A, C, E, and K, along with folate, zinc, sodium, calcium, and magnesium (10). While it may only contribute to a small percentage of some of the DVs above, using it as a seasoning once or twice per week can be an easy way to add more nutrients to your diet. It's similar to Japanese nori seaweed but it's seasoned with sesame oil and salt. Appearance also is unique. While Japanese nori is even thickness and has no holes, Korean nori has a holes and can recognize the difference by just looking at them. Just like Japanese Nori, it is used with rice.
