PRIME FIRE RETARDANT INTUMESCENT PAINT is specially formulated coating designed to protect structural steel, wood, and other substrates by delaying the spread of fire. When exposed to high temperatures, the paint expands, forming a thick, insulating char that significantly slows down heat transfer, helping to maintain the structural integrity of the substrate.

TECHNICAL INFORMATION

APPLICATION INSTRUCTION

Surface Preparation

1.     Mixing: Stir the product thoroughly before application.

2.     Application Method: Can be applied by brush, roller, or airless spray.

·         Brush/Roller: Suitable for small areas and touch-up.

·         Spray: Recommended for large areas to achieve uniform thickness.

3.     Recommended Coats: 2–3 coats depending on required fire rating.

4.     Allow proper drying times

Touch Dry: 30-35 mins (at 30°C)

Recoat: 1-1.3 hrs

Full Cure: 1 day
