Painting Instructions

Application Tools: Brush/ Roller/ Spray

Thinning: Dilute with not more than 10% Water

Surface Preparation:

A. New Surfaces

Wood Surfaces:

- All areas to be painted with davies Aqua Gloss It enamel paint must be dry and free of dirt, Dust, Grease, Oi; and other contaminants.

- Sand wood surfaces until smooth to touch and no silvers or rough edges remain. Dust off completely then wipe with a clean rag.

Metal Surefaces:

-• All areas to be painted with Davies® Aqua Gloss-it enamel paint must be dry and free of dirt, dust, grease, oil, and other contaminants.

• Sand or wire brush all metal exposed in the weather for some time.

• For severely corroded areas, treat with DAVIES® GrecoTM DV-200-X Rust Converter. Let stand overnight, then wipe with a clean rag wet

with DAVIES® 71 Lacquer Thinner.

B. Previously Painted Surfaces:

• All areas to be painted with Davies® Aqua Gloss-it enamel paint must be dry and free of dirt, dust, grease, oil, and other contaminants.

Painting System:

A. Wood Surfaces

Primer/Sealer: Apply one (1) coat of DAVIES® 1300 TimberPrimeTM Wood Primer or

DAVIES® 1360 Interior Wood Primer & Sealer.

Putty: As needed, apply DAVIES® 5000 Megacryl® Concrete Putty or DAVIES® 1000 Pro-Lux® Glazing Putty.

Primer/Sealer: Apply one (1) coat of DAVIES® 1300 TimberPrimeTM Wood Primer or DAVIES® 1360 Interior Wood Primer & Sealer on

puttied areas.

Topcoat: Apply two (2) coats of DAVIES® Aqua Gloss-it topcoat finish.

B. Metal Surfaces

Primer/Sealer: Apply one (1) coat of DAVIES® 911 Metal Primer Red Oxide or

DAVIES® Epoxy Primer.

Putty: As needed, apply DAVIES® 1000 Pro-Lux® Glazing Putty.

Topcoat: Apply two (2) coats of DAVIES® Aqua Gloss-it topcoat finish.

Recoating Interval: 2-3 hours

Drying Time:2 hours

Clean-Up: Clean water

STORAGE AND HANDLING FOR DAVIES® AQUA GLOSS-IT WATER-BASED PAINT

• Keep the container closed when not in use.

• Store in a cool, dry, and well-ventilated space.

• Do not transfer contents to other containers for storage
