*King: Can move horizontally, vertically, or diagonally, but limited to one move per move. Except when castling, the king can move to any adjacent square that is not attacked by an opponent's piece.

*Queen: The queen can move to any square on the line, horizontal, or diagonal line where it is located. It is the most powerful piece in chess.

*Rook: The rook can move to any square on the line or horizontal line where it is located. Generally, it cannot jump over other pieces.

*Elephant: The elephant can move to any square on the diagonal line where it is located. There is no limit to the number of squares, but it cannot jump over other pieces. Each side has two elephants, one occupying a white square and the other occupying a black square.

*Horse: The knight's movement consists of two mules that move in different steps. It first moves one square along a horizontal or vertical line and then moves one square away from the original square along a diagonal line. When moving to the first square, it can still move even if the square is occupied by a piece. There is no restriction on the horse's leg being blocked in Chinese chess.

*Pawn: (1) The pawn can only move forward (2) Except for capturing pieces, the pawn can move one or two squares along the line and forward from its original position (the square occupied must be an empty space). After that, you can only move forward one square in a straight line each time. When capturing a piece, you can only capture the piece one square diagonally in front of it.

In addition to the above moves, there are three special moves in chess:

1. Capturing a passing pawn: If the opponent's pawn moves forward two squares for the first time, and it happens that a pawn of your side is closely aligned with it horizontally, then your pawn can immediately move diagonally and capture the opponent's pawn. This action must be performed immediately, and it will be invalid if you delay.

2. Promotion of pawns: When any pawn moves forward and reaches the opponent's bottom line, it can be promoted to any type of pawn except the king and pawn.

3. Castling: In each game, both sides have one chance to move the king two squares in the direction of the pawn, and then the pawn passes over the king and is placed on a square next to the king. Castling is divided into "long castling" and "short castling" according to left and right. Castling is not allowed in the following four situations:

1. The king or rook has already moved;

2. There are other pieces between the king and the rook;

3. The king is being checked by the opponent;
