Nathan & Emma Long sleeve Baby Bib with Wide Food Catcher (1 PC) | 100% Polyester | Age grade: 6 months+ | Baby Feeding Essentials
Baby bibs are designed to be practical, comfortable, and stylish, making them a must-have for any parent to keep their baby clean and dry during feeding and playtime. Provide full coverage with sleeves, ideal for messy eaters or art and craft activities.
Caring for a polyester bib is relatively easy due to the fabric's durability and resistance to wrinkles and stains. Here are the steps to properly care for a polyester bib:
If there are any stains, pre-treat them by applying a small amount of liquid detergent directly to the stain and gently rubbing it in. Allow it to sit for a few minutes before washing.
For tougher stains, you can use a stain remover specifically designed for synthetic fabrics.
Use a gentle or normal cycle with cold or warm water.
Use a mild detergent. Avoid using bleach, as it can damage the fabric and cause discoloration.
Wash the bibs with similar colors to prevent color bleeding.
Hand Washing (if preferred):
Fill a basin with warm water and add a small amount of mild detergent.
Submerge the bib and gently agitate it with your hands. Avoid scrubbing too hard to prevent damage.
Rinse thoroughly with clean water until all soap is removed.
Lay the bib flat on a clean towel or hang it to dry. Polyester dries quickly, so air drying is often sufficient.
Avoid direct sunlight, which can cause fading over time.
If you prefer to use a dryer, set it to a low heat or delicate cycle.
Remove the bib promptly to avoid static build-up and potential wrinkles.
Polyester bibs do not need ironing as it can melt the polyester due to heat of the iron. But if you prefer to iron, use a low heat setting.
Place a pressing cloth between the iron and the bib to prevent any potential melting or damage to the fabric.
Store clean, dry bibs in a cool, dry place.
Avoid placing heavy items on top of the bibs to prevent creasing.
Avoid using fabric softeners, as they can leave a residue on polyester and reduce its moisture-wicking properties.
If the bib has any decorative elements (like prints or appliqués), turn it inside out before washing to protect these features.
Regularly inspect the bib for any signs of wear and tear, such as loose threads or fraying edges, and repair as needed to extend its lifespan.
