Duckweed (Lemna minor) is a small floating aquatic plant found in Australian ponds and lakes. Duckweed is a fast-growing plant and can double its size every 2-3 days. A portion of this size will eventually grow to sufficiently cover your tank or pond (if you want it to) quickly. Duckweed sucks out excess nutrients and nitrates from your fish tank to control algae and keep it healthy.
