The lamp must be charged for 2 hou beforing the fit using.
The lamp will operate as a normal household lamp and can be turned on/off by using the light switch.
The internal battery will charge whenever the light switch is set to ON.
During a power failure, the lamp will operate as an emergency lamp automatically as long as the light switch is set to ON.
