Sphagnum peat moss helps in gardening by improving soil structure, holding water, making soil more acidic, retaining nutrients, and resisting some plant diseases.
To use Sphagnum Peat Moss Klasmann Potgrond H in gardening and for plants:
1. **Soil Amendment**: Mix peat moss with your garden soil to improve aeration and water retention. Use about 1 part peat moss to 1 or 2 parts soil.
2. **Potting Mix**: Blend peat moss with other components like perlite or vermiculite to create a well-draining potting mix. A common ratio is 1 part peat moss to 1 part perlite.
Klasmann Potgrond-H Potting Soil consisting of dark Peat Moss that have been frozen for about 80% and light Peat Moss of about 20%, which are collected from the Peat Moss fields and then sifted to obtain a suitable composition suitable for planting seeds in the trays of 0–8 mm.
3. **Seed Starting**: Use peat moss as a seed-starting medium. Fill seed trays with peat moss and plant seeds according to the seed packet instructions.
4. **Mulching**: Spread a layer of peat moss around plants to help retain soil moisture and reduce weeds.
