Polituff Body Filler is an impact and shock-resistant polyester body filler, which sets hard in minutes into a tough and flexible mass, making it ideal for use in correcting and repairing dents, holes, leaks and flaws. When properly mixed and applied, it has an excellent flexibility, adhesion, hardness, heat resistant and sanding properly.

 

Polituff is a Polyester Body filler is a 2-component polyester body filler, BPO – catalyzed formulated to fill in surface imperfections resulting in a smooth surface prior to topcoat paint.It is an impact, shock- resistant putty especially designed for use on auto-body patching of dents, leaks, holes, and flaws.

For use on concrete, wood, modified bitumen, and asphalt. Please use the correct product grade that complies with VOC regulations as per federal, state, statutory bodies, county and city regulations/codes at the place of installation of product.

Cement cracking is normal. Shrinkage is the main cause of cracking. As concrete hardens and dries it shrinks. This is due to the evaporation of excess mixing water. This shrinkage causes forces in the concrete which pull the slab apart. As long as it is not a structural defect, it is normal.

HARDENER: A substance added (as to a paint or varnish) to QUART SIZE harden the film.

NOTE!!!

Too much hardener makes paint a bit brittle.. however the bigger issue is adhesion. in the old days you could mix paint to preference. however modern paint formulas rely on "flash times" chemical reactions between layers.

In some mixtures a hardener is used simply to increase the resilience of the mixture once it sets. In other mixtures a hardener is used as a curing component. A hardener can be either a reactant or a catalyst in the chemical reaction that occurs during the mixing process. A hardener may also be known as an accelerator.

 

Do not get any of the hardener in your eyes; it could cause permanent eye damage (i.e. severe irritation or burns). Do not breathe the hardener, it could cause respiratory irritation.

 

Can I use resin without hardener?

It is only when mixed with an epoxy hardener that they can cure properly. If applied onto a floor without the hardener, the resin would remain a near liquid indefinitely and could not transform into a durable flooring system.

 

Is Catalyst the same as hardener?

Hardener and catalyst are basically the same product. In general a catalyst hardener causes a chemical reaction which results in “setting” of the epoxy resin.

 

How much hardener do I add to paint?

Regardless of size, the chosen measurement must remain the same throughout the mixing process. A mixing ratio given as 4:2:1 normally means 4 parts of base product, 2 parts thinner/reducer, and 1 part hardener. However, some paint manufactures add hardener second, and thinner/reducer last.
