1. Insert the plug at the end of the measuring lead into the metal cap on the top of the measuring pen and ensure that the contact is good

2. Clamp the alligator clamp at the other end of the measuring wire (e.g. the metal shell of a car)

3. The needle head of the measuring pen is inserted into the insulation layer of the wire to be measured

4. If the light tube in the measuring pen pole will light up, it indicates that the measured point has formed a loop and works normally, otherwise, there is a fault.
