Product description
Pool Shock Liquid Chlorine (10L) is a high-strength liquid sanitizer commonly used in swimming pools to disinfect water, kill bacteria and algae, and maintain clear, safe water. The primary active ingredient is sodium hypochlorite, typically in a concentration of 10-12%.
Swimming Pool Sanitization:
Quickly raises chlorine levels to eliminate bacteria, algae, and other harmful organisms.
Oxidizes organic contaminants, such as sweat, urine, and cosmetics, to maintain water clarity and safety.
Applied as a shock treatment to resolve water quality issues such as cloudy water, high bather load, or after heavy rainstorms.
Used in regular maintenance schedules to ensure consistent chlorine levels and prevent algae growth.
Store in a cool, dry, and well-ventilated area away from direct sunlight and heat sources.
Keep the container tightly closed when not in use to prevent evaporation and contamination.
Avoid storing near acids or other incompatible materials as it can react to produce toxic gases.
Personal Protective Equipment (PPE):
Wear gloves, safety goggles, and protective clothing to prevent skin and eye contact.
Use in a well-ventilated area to avoid inhaling fumes.
Inhalation: Fumes can cause respiratory irritation and coughing. Ensure proper ventilation and avoid inhaling vapors.
Skin and Eye Contact: Direct contact can cause irritation or burns. In case of contact, rinse immediately with plenty of water and seek medical attention.
Ingestion: Harmful if swallowed. Ingestion can cause severe internal damage. Do not ingest, and keep away from food and beverages.
Toxic to aquatic life. Prevent the product from entering water bodies and follow local regulations for disposal.
Spills: Contain the spill and use absorbent materials to clean it up. Avoid creating mist or spray. Dispose of waste following local regulations.
Inhalation: Move to fresh air immediately. Seek medical attention if symptoms persist.
Skin or Eye Contact: Rinse thoroughly with water for at least 15 minutes. Seek medical advice if irritation persists.
Ingestion: Rinse mouth thoroughly with water and seek immediate medical attention. Do not induce vomiting unless directed by medical personnel.
Measure the appropriate amount of liquid chlorine based on the pool size and current chlorine levels.
Distribute the liquid chlorine evenly around the pool, preferably in the evening or at night to prevent sunlight from degrading the chlorine.
Allow the pool to circulate for at least 4-6 hours after application before swimming.
Add liquid chlorine as part of the regular maintenance routine to maintain desired chlorine levels.
Test the pool water regularly to ensure chlorine levels are within the recommended range (typically 1-3 ppm).
