Emaux Swimming Pool Test Kit for Chlorine and pH

1. Collect a water sample from the pool. The sample should be taken from a depth of about 18 inches below the water's surface and away from any return jets or skimmers.

2. Fill one of the test tubes with the pool water sample up to the indicated line.

3. Add five drops of the red reagent to the test tube.

4. Add five drops of the yellow reagent to the test tube.

5. Close the test tube with the cap and shake it for about 10 seconds.

6. Compare the color of the liquid in the test tube to the color chart provided on the kit. The red color indicates the pH level and the yellow color indicates the chlorine level.

7. For pH level, compare the color of the liquid in the test tube to the pH color chart and record the pH level.

8. For chlorine level, compare the color of the liquid in the test tube to the chlorine color chart and record the chlorine level.

9. Adjust the chemical balance in the pool, as needed. If the pH or chlorine levels are outside the recommended range, you will need to add chemicals to the pool to bring them back into balance.

10. Always follow the manufacturer's instructions for the chemicals you are using and use caution when handling pool chemicals. Wear gloves and eye protection and avoid breathing in any fumes or dust.

11. Repeat the tests regularly, according to the manufacturer's recommendations, to ensure that the pool water stays balanced and safe for swimmers.
