Product description
Cow ears are generally considered safe for dogs as they are highly digestible. This means everything that reaches the stomach should be successfully digested. However, when they get small enough to swallow, you should remove the last bit to ensure your dog doesn't swallow it whole and choke.
Puppies can be given cow ears from four months old to chew on to reduce teething discomfort, however, a whole cow ear will be too big for a puppy. Therefore, you must cut it up or remove it from your puppy once he has eaten his allowed amount.
Cow ears are generally considered safe for dogs as they are highly digestible. This means everything that reaches the stomach should be successfully digested. However, when they get small enough to swallow, you should remove the last bit to ensure your dog doesn’t swallow it whole and choke.
You should avoid cow ears if your dog has a beef allergy, as beef protein makes up a large percentage of cow ears. In addition, a whole cow ear is not a suitable size for a small dog, and therefore only a portion of it should be given as a treat.

* Always make sure that your dog does not hurt themselves while chewing and that their gums are not bleeding as a result of the snack.
* With regards to puppies, if the cow ears seem too big, then you should resort to smaller alternatives.
* Small dogs, puppies and seniors can be given cow ears as long as you consider the size and the teeth of your dog. Often, old dogs have few or no teeth left and therefore, the hard snack is unsuitable. For younger dogs, they are especially well suited during the period of tooth change.
* The digestion of puppies and young dogs is often more sensitive than in adult quadrupeds and therefore, diarrhea may become an issue.
* Chewing is also very stressful for your puppy. Make sure that you do not overwhelm them and feed them too much.
* Moreover, if your puppy reacts with diarrhoea, it is recommended that you wait a few weeks or months until you try with the cow ear again.
