Introduction to connection use：

1.Series and parallel connection of solar panels:

① Case of series connection of solar panels:

When two conventional batteries are connected in series, the voltage at the ends of the series battery bank is equal to the sum of the voltages at the ends of the two batteries when they are alone. The same effect applies when you connect two solar cells (e.g., those with a nominal output voltage of 12 V) in series, the ideal output voltage at the output of the cells is 24 V. The advantage of such a connection is that you increase the total output power without increasing the current flowing through the output lines. This makes it unnecessary for the circuit to replace the output wires with thicker ones. However, this may lead to the consequence that the battery controller that was originally suitable for 12V output may have to be replaced with 24V.

② The case of parallel connection of solar panels:

In the case of parallel connection, as long as the battery has the same output voltage, then it can be connected in parallel to the controller to use. At this point, the power of all the solar panels will be summed (for example, 50W and 100W batteries in parallel, the output power of about 150W). A damaged open circuit in one of them will not affect the overall voltage, only the power. This is one of the most common ways of connecting solar panels. But if the voltage difference between the two panels is very large, it is best not to connect in parallel.

Series connection

Series connection seems to be the simplest type of connection, and this is true for conventional batteries and almost true for solar panels: when two conventional batteries are connected in series, the voltage at the terminals of the series battery bank is equal to the sum of the voltages at the terminals of the two batteries when they are alone. And the same effect is true for solar cells: when you connect two solar cells in series (e.g., cells with a nominal output voltage of 12V), then the ideal output voltage at the output of the cells is 24V.
