A low-cost way to add USB capability to microcontrollers. Use this to give your own breadboard For USB capability for bootloading or downloading sketches.
RXD/TXD transceiver communication indicator
Includes over-current protection, using a 500ma self-restoring fuse
This board includes a DTR pin needed to auto-reset when downloading to your device.
USB Power Supply: 3.3V or 5V
TXD, RXD, RTS#, CTS#: Use curved pin header to lead.
With the development of computer technology, parallel ports and serial ports have slowly disappeared on PCs. Nowadays, even desktop computers have few parallel ports. But for engineers, both parallel and serial ports are essential interfaces, especially serial ports. For computers without a serial port, a convenient solution is to use a USB-to-serial chip to virtualize a serial port. Many manufacturers produce such chips, such as CP210x series from silicon LABS, TUSB3410 from TI, CH34x series from Nanjing Qinheng, and FTDI FT232 series, Prolific PL230x series, ARK3116, etc. From the perspective of stability, the FT232 series is still reliable, and you can use it to debug the program without worrying about the blue screen.
The FT232R chip is a single-chip solution. Generally, peripherals are not required for general use. Even the crystal oscillator, USB matching resistor, and EEPROM for product information have been integrated inside. FT232R also has some more useful functions. For details, please refer to the FT232R data sheet.
·Adopt FT232RL chip of FTDI Company;
· Lead out all signal ports of FT232RL chip, TTL/CMOS level;
·RXD/TXD transceiver communication indicator;
·USB power supply, optional 5V or 3.3V interface level (if other levels are needed, you can directly provide the target voltage on the VCC and GND pins)
