PLC planar waveguide optical splitter is an integrated waveguide optical power distribution device based on quartz substrate. It is one of the most important passive components in optical fiber. It has multiple inputs and multiple outputs, and is especially suitable for connecting central office and terminal equipment in passive optical networks (EPON, GPON, BPON, etc.) to realize optical signal splitting. The PLC splitter can achieve high return loss in the wavelength range of 1260nm to 1650nm.
There are currently two types: 1×N and 2×N. 1×N and 2×N splitters input optical signals from single or double inlets to multiple outlets, or work in reverse to converge multiple optical signals into single or double optical fibers.
feature:
(1) The loss is not sensitive to the optical wavelength and can meet the transmission needs of different wavelengths. (2) Channel equal distribution, which can evenly distribute signals to users. (3) Compact structure, small size, can be directly installed in various distribution boxes. (4) A single device has a large number of shunt channels, up to 32 or more. (5) Multi-channel costs are low.
