A word finder is a word game. It is also called word sleuth, word seek, wonder word, mystery word, or word search (the most commonly used term). The object of each puzzle is to find and mark all the words hidden in the field of random letters in a grid. The words maybe hidden in any direction, backward, up, down, and diagonally, but always in a straight line; sometimes the word bends at 90 degrees (snaking puzzles), not a straight horizontal, vertical or diagonal line.
