Though problems may occur like sudden death of animal, if the pebbles were use or poured when the animal is inside the tank. This causes stress to them. ( take there place and imagine pebbles were poured on top of you)

Another problem that will occur is bacterial bloom. Since the pebbles are porous bacteria will try to settle inside the pebbles and will have sudden bacterial bloom inside your aquarium that will make you water parameters spike that the animal cannot handle like ammonia.

Bacterial bloom can be suppress once they are settled and the water parameters will be balance.

Paint or coloring use in our pebbles are guaranteed safe for aquatic life.
