The matcha whisk is also known as a chasen, is traditionally handcrafted. The purpose of the whisk is to coax the matcha into a uniform consistency as the powder tends to clump when coming into contact with water.
Without using a traditional whisk in your preparation, you will likely miss out on the delicate nuances that only perfectly blended matcha with just the right amount of foam on top can offer.
MATCHA WHISK
Our 100- prong whisk (chasen) is handmade using natural high quality bamboo material, it’s lightweight and durable, and easy to use.
Pour some warm water into the bowl with about 1/2 teaspoon tea powder. Use the bamboo whisk,vigorously mix the Matcha in back and forth in an “M” shaped motions until froth forms(about 10-20 seconds).The tea whisk can make tea powder by water evenly, stirring foaming.

How To Make Matcha Tea?
- Scoop 1/2 tea powder into the bowl.
- Pour some abut 170°F hot water.
- Use the bamboo whisk,vigorously mix the Matcha in back and forth in an “M” shaped motions until froth forms(about 10-20 seconds).
- Place the whisk on the holderto air it dry and prevent the mound.
Keep and Clean:
Wash with the water, gently rub the prongs to remove powder then pat it and air it dry on your whisk holer, do not use soap.
