Ehrlichiosis Symptoms:

Swollen lymph nodes weight loss, respiratory distress, bleeding disorders (spontaneous hemorrhage or bleeding), fever and neurological disturbances (meningitis or unsteady on feet)

 SPECIMEN PREPARATION AND STORAGE

1. Specimen should be obtained and treated as below.

- Serum or plasma: collect the whole blood from the

patient dog, centrifuge it to get the serum.

2. All specimens should be tested immediately.

 TEST PROCEDURE

- Take out the test device from the foil pouch and place it

horizontally.

- Use the capillary dropper to place 2drops (approx. 20μL)

of the prepared specimen into an assay buffer tube. Mix well

and directly use in the assay.

- Use the disposable dropper to place 2-3drops

(approx.60-80μL) of mix assay buffer into the sample

hole ”S” of the test device.

- Interpret the result in 5-10 minutes. Result after 10

minutes is considered invalid
