Product description
Benzimidazole products, like VALBAZEN Suspension, work through direct contact with the parasite. With a large rumen/abomasum, a larger volume dose is more likely to expose parasites to the active ingredient and can help improve product efficacy. Slowing rate of passage through rumen by fasting or reducing feed intake has been shown to increase benzimidazole activity.
DOSAGE AND ADMINISTRATION:
Cattle: VALBAZEN Suspension should be administered to cattle at the recommended rate of 4 mL/100 lb. of body weight (equivalent to 4.54 mg of albendazole/lb., or 10 mg of albendazole/kg).
Sheep: Administer at the recommended rate of 0.75 mL/25 lb of body weight (equivalent to 3.4 mg of albendazole/lb, 7.5 mg/kg).
Goats: Administer at 1 mL/25 lb of body weight (equivalent to 4.54 mg of albendazole/lb, 10 mg/kg)
SAFFETY INFORMATION:
•Cattle must not be slaughtered within 27 days or sheep and goats within 7 days after the last treatment with VALBAZEN. Do not use in female dairy cattle of breeding age or lactating goats. Do not administer to female cattle during the first 45 days of pregnancy or for 45 days after removal of bulls.
•Sheep and goats must not be slaughtered within 7 days of last treatment with VALBAZEN. Do not use in lactating goats.
•Consult your veterinarian for assistance in the diagnosis, treatment, and control of parasitism.
