Proper Usage of Upper Arm BP Monitor:
β’ Wear the arm cuff properly. Place the arm cuff on your LEFT upper arm with at least two cm allowance from the antecubital fossa, or the front side of the elbow. Do not place it too tightly, make sure that you can still fit two fingers while the arm cuff is on. Remember that the hose of the arm cuff should be facing up.
β’ Connect your arm cuff to your bp monitor. Make sure that the hose is securely placed onto your BP monitor.
β’ Add a power supply. You can either use 4 AAA Alkaline batteries, or use the provided USB connector and connect it to a laptop, a desktop PC, a power bank, or a charger.
β’ Sit properly in front of a table and place your left arm on the table, make sure that the arm cuff is on the same level as your heart or chest.
β’ Press the Start/Stop button. The BP monitor will now start pumping air onto your arm cuff. Remain calm and still while taking your blood pressure. Avoid movement or talking while on the process as this may affect your results, or worse, it can lead to an error.
β’ After a minute, your results will be ready.
β’ For more accurate results, it is suggested to take two more times with at least 3 minute interval between each measurement, and then view the average 3x result by pressing on the [MEM] button while the device is off. You will notice an [AVG] icon, it means that the device is currently displaying the average of your latest 3 results.
