How much cephalexin can you give a dog and cat?
Add 50ml of water first, shake well until powder is dissolved
****Using 250mg/5ml:
For Dogs
every 1kg of body weight is equal to 0.6ml
twice a day for 7 daysΒ
For Cat
Using 250mg/5ml:
every 1kg of body weight is equal to 0.1-0.2ml
twice a day for 7 days
***Using 125mg/5ml:
For Dogs
every 1kg of body weight is equal to 1.2ml
twice a day for 7 daysΒ
For Cats
in 125mg/5ml
every 1kg of body weight is equal to 0.2-0.4ml
twice a day for 7 daysΒ
Keep in mind that treatments with cephalexin can be long in duration, often up to several weeks. It is vital we follow the instructions of the veterinarian and never stop the treatment before prescribed, even if it seems to us that the symptoms have subsided.
While Cefalexin is typically prescribed for humans, vets may also choose to prescribe it to treat bacterial infections in various parts of the body in your pet.
Clovimed
this is coamoxiclav, treatment for respiratory infection, upper urinary infection (UTI), skin, ear and mouth infection caused by bacteria.

Co-amoxiclav is medicine used for bacterial infections.
It contains amoxicillin ( from the penicillin group of medicines) mixed with clavulanic acid. The clavulanic acid stops bacteria from breaking down amoxicillin, allowing the medicine to work better.

throat or lung respiratory tract infections
urinary tract infections
skin and soft tissue infections
dental infections
