Works very well even for hard beans! I notice that the crank shaft doesn't have a bearing at the lower level (before the burr) to keep it center, so it tends to move to the sides depending on the size of the bean that comes in, causing an inconsistent grind... BUUUUT IT'S DURABLE AND PRICE IS SULIT!
