Gel Polish Nail Application
1. Proper Nail Prep – very important
Push Cuticles back and make your nails more visible and remove dead skin
Buff or file your nails in every single corner and make sure the surface is ready for application
Clean nails using cleanser – never touch the nails without gloves
You can use also Nail drill to achieve more professional nail prep result
2. Apply DEHYDRATOR/PRIMER – Air dry
3. Apply VERY THIN layer of BASE COAT over the whole nail, then cure 60s
Use a good gel base coat. This will ensure that the polish adheres properly and lasts as long as possible.
Also, make sure to seal the open edges, or cap the free edge. Capping the free edge means to paint over the edge of your nail so that this protective layer gives your nail a chip-free resistant finish. But to make sure don’t apply too much on tip.
4. Apply Reinforce Gel – then cure 60s
5. Apply 1st layer of Gel Polish – cure 60s
Shake your polish well before application to ensure that the formula is properly mixed. Then Start on your color
Apply each layer in very THIN coat of polish all the way to the edges of the nail, be mindful not to stray onto the skin.
If there is smudge, simple wipe off the stray polish before curing.
Don’t worry is the first coating looks streaky – THIN layers will do the job better than the thick uneven ones.
6. Apply 2nd layer of Gel Polish – cure 60s
Nail Technicians recommended at least two coats of gel polish
7. Apply TOP COAT – cure 60s
Apply a top coat to ensure that the color is sealed and to give your nails that characteristic shine.
It is extremely important to cover the entire nail with a top coat, and cap the edges for a perfect seal.
Always apply very THIN layer! Too thick layer, will not be easily cured. Even when it looks cured on surface, but sometimes it is still wet inside.
