Is the toothbrush biodegradable?
Whilst there are many variations of bamboo toothbrushes available on the market, some are not in fact bamboo, but another wood such as beech. All bristles are made with either animal hair or some form of nylon. Unfortunately, no toothbrush with any form of nylon bristle is fully biodegradable despite claims. Our toothbrushes have passed strict testing and have been certified bio-based with bristles made from 64% castor bean oil, 36% nylon and a 100% ethically sourced bamboo handle and compostable packaging.
Care and Disposal - Ensure to keep the head as DRY as possible after brushing to limit moisture retention and prolong the life of your toothbrush and bristles. To dispose of, snap the head off or pluck out the bristles individually and dispose. The film wrapper is 100% non-toxic and water-soluble and both the handle and packaging is 100% compostable and biodegradable.
We recommend you replace your toothbrush every 12 weeks.
