They are quite commonly found in gold and silver colours but are also available in an array of many other colours. They come in different sizes too, from 2mm to even to to 16mm in diameter, but the most common are about 4mm in diameter. When using dragees for simple sprinkling on frosted cakes or cupcakes, just use your clean bare hands, that will work. When attaching them to fondant or gumpaste, especially in a particular pattern, use tweezers. Can be stored in an airtight container or zip lock bags. Store in a cool dry place.
