-Gauze sponges are disposable medical supplies commonly used in medicine and surgery. They are ordinarily made of gauze and are used to absorb blood and other fluids as well as clean wounds. When used in surgery, they are called surgical sponges.
-Gauze pads and gauze sponges are used in a number of different applications and are great for
general cleaning, dressings, prepping, packing, and debriding wounds. It can also be used as a temporary absorbent dressing over wounds.
-Gauze is a loosely woven, almost translucent fabric that's used to bandage wounds. If you get a bad burn, a doctor might clean it and cover it with gauze. In medicine, gauze has several uses. Sterile gauze is usually kept in a sealed package, to ensure that it's perfectly clean.
-Can be used to absorb seepage from a wound, pack wounds, clean wounds, and more. Make sure you're including sterile gauze sponges or pads in your kit, rather than non-sterile options. Having sterile gauze pads will help to keep the wound area clean, promote proper healing and protect against infection.
