Product description
For the nutritional management of cats with struvite or oxalate crystals and lower urinary tract disease. Promotes the production of undersaturated urine which is unfavourable to the formation of struvite and calcium oxalate crystals, making it a suitable diet for the long term prevention of urolithiasis Description For cats with Feline Idiopathic Cystitis, struvite urolithiasis, management of recurrent struvite and calcium oxalate urolithiasis. In older cats renal function should be checked before Urinary S/O is recommended.
BENEFITS:
-Idiopathic cystitis: The high moisture content of Urinary S/O Feline cans increases urine dilution. Since nearly 64% of cases of FLUTD* are idiopathic cystitis, a wet diet is recommended for cats with recurrent cystitis.
-Low RRS: Low RSS (Relative Super Saturation) diets encourage an undersaturated urinary environment, unfavourable to the development of struvite and calcium oxalate crystals. -Struvite dissolution: Urinary S/O Feline effectively dissolves struvite uroliths.
-Urine dilution: Diluting urine decreases the urinary concentration of struvite and calcium oxalate crystals. Greated urinary volumes also ensures regular bladder wash-out.
*NOTE FOR WET FOODS*
We have taken the decision to begin removing the ingredient caramel from most of our wet product
formulations because we came to the conclusion this ingredient has no impact on the nutritional
qualities of our products as well as on its performance and on its quality. In the past we have used
caramel to obtain a colouring of the sauce and food that is appealing to pet owner as well as to modify
the odour of the product. Finally, our intention is to move away from the wet products, added sugar
and sugar derivatives (e.g Caramel).
As our quality and food standards remain the same, we would like to reassure you that the removal
of caramel does not have any impact on the quality, functionality and the safety of the wet products
