Artemia is a natural feed essential and widely used in shrimp and fish hatcheries because its size is suitable for larvae, it has high nutritional value, and it is easy to be digested. According to John et al (2004), the newly hatched Artemia nauplii contains 50.6% protein, 25.7% carbohydrate, 14.2% fat, 9.4% ash, and an energy value of 18.97 KJ g-1.
Artemia has the ability to produce dormant eggs, known as cysts, which led to extensive use of Artemia in aquaculture. The cysts may be stored indefinitely and hatched on demand to provide a convenient form of live feed for larval fish and crustaceans.
They have a lot of benefits nutritionally and physically as well. They help in the sight and locomotion of fish and shrimps.
These benefits will not be possible if eggs are unhatched. This hatchery tool is very helpful equipment. Just plug and play and no need for maintenance!! Enjoy hatching!
