The difference with a scented gel compared to your conventional (Katol) mosquito coil is that a  mosquito-repelling incense is usually made into a spiral coil, and typically made using a dried paste of pyrethrum powder. The coil is usually held at the center of the spiral, suspending it in the air, or wedged by two pieces of fireproof netting to allow continuous smoldering. The mosquito coil then releases fumes to its surrounding area, which could be hazardous to a child’s health.
